The story of a young girl who is murdered and watches her family from heaven.
What an amazing page-turner that begins with the death of the main character. Young Susie Salmon finds herself alone with her murder in an empty field. After some brief research I found that Susie's character has a few things in common with the author. Sebold and her heroine, Susie, both fall victim to rape. Sebold bravely writes about her own personal experiences in a different book and so clearly identifies with the victim. This book is a must-read and it keeps you zooming through to the end to see if Susie Salmon can lead her family to her killer.
I can't wait to see the movie!
